Elected to the Educational and School Psychology Section (ESP) of the CPA.

At the 2024 Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) Annual Convention in Ottawa, Ontario this past weekend, I was elected by Educational and School Psychology Section (ESP) as one of the new Members at Large beginning from today.

I am deeply passionate about the role psychology plays in the lives of young people and their families. School and community settings are often where children and adolescents spend the majority of their time, and educational and school psychology can play a meaningful role in setting them up for success and supporting healthy development with the right advocacy and education to policy makers and provincial officials.

My role is intentionally unassigned so that I can support the chair, chair-elect and other members as needed on issues and collaborations important to the section and the section’s goals. I look forward to working with this fantastic group of psychologists to further elevate the role of school and educational psychology.
